“The Four Colors” – Cameroon / Gabon

Mask painted in four symbolic colors: the edges of the face are black, the color of power; half the face is red, the color of love; a horizontal strip across the eyes is painted blue, the color of health; and the other half of the face is painted white, the color of communion with tribal ancestors.
