“Archaic” – Congo

Archaic mask made of two circles that symbolize mouths. The two protruding eyes represent the ability to see into the future. Both the eyes and the mouths are painted white, a symbol of communion with tribal ancestors. Two protroding bars at the top of the head symbolize the ablity to direct one’s thoughts.
